Vicious Rear Arm Grab Takedown

There are many street fighting situations where someone grabs your arm from behind. This is commonly seen in bar fights where a guy is pissed off comes up behind you, grabs your arm to turn you around and takes a swing.

It is also very common in a multiple attacker situation. One guy is picking a fight with you and his buddy comes up behind you and grabs your arm to restrain you.

This video shows you a simple and easy to master technique that will take out any attacker who tries to grab your arm from behind.

Counter attack: Groin Grab

As you can see in the video the groin strike is crucial to this move. Your attacker will expect you to fight his arm (this is what most people do). He will never have time to block his groin.

The secret to the forearm strike to the base of the skull is pivoting and dropping your body weight into it. Many times these two moves alone will take him to the ground ending the street fight, giving you a chance to escape.

Counter attack: Neck Strike

If he is still on his feet grabbing his head and controlling him by hooking his eye socket is a powerful move as Kathy explains. He will go where you want him too, especially since he will be off balance from your previous two moves.

Counter Attack: Flip Opponent

As shown in the video turning his head while stepping backwards get him completely off balance letting you throw him to the ground. This will effectively end the street fight, or in a multiple attacker situation give you time to deal with the other guy.

Depending on the situation you may need to follow up with kicks and stomps to finish the job, or you may be able to escape. It’s your choice.

By the way Kathy is a 5 time Kick Boxing Word Champion, Black Belt Hall of Famer, accomplished stunt woman, and won her one and only MMA fight back in 2009. She was also one of the commentators on the very first Ultimate Fighting Championship back in 1993. Needless to say she is one hell of a respected fighter.
