Dear Hotlist Dude:
Would you be against receiving an awesome slice of American history...
I'm not kidding. You, and a very exclusive "hotlist" of American men, (and even a few women), are now invited to take part in a limited market test of our awesome new "TRS Shadow Blade" — a knife based on the classic American Mark I Trench Knife.
This is badass. You only have to say the word and this astonishing foot-long piece o' weapon is yours...
But with only 500 to go around, there's not much time. So if you're even remotely interested, please keep listening.
Hey, it's Jimbo over here at TRS Survival and FightFast. For over 35 years my little California companies have been providing regular guys like you with the gear and know-how you need to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Cool manly stuff — like simplified military hand-to-hand combat tricks that can instantly drop a larger man to his knees... urban survival lock-picking skills... pinpoint accurate knife throwing... easy-to-carry blowguns to live off the land... and lots more.
We worked our way to the top of this industry by carefully selecting small groups of Americans, mostly men, to test out our new products first — before releasing them to the general public.
It means we're in touch with what customers actually want while our competitors are only guessing.
The good news: You fit the profile. You're on the hotlist. You're in the test group. And so at this point, I'm asking you to...
I ask only for a little feedback. Even that's not required. You can just take advantage of this free giveaway and do nothing more.
I'll give you all the details in just a second.
Here's the story: It's a good one that goes back to the First World War. It was there that infantrymen, after dodging long-range artillery shells and rifle shots, would sneak across the smoldering no man's land to invade hostile enemy trenches in...
They quickly realized their long bayonet-tipped rifles did not work well for fighting in narrow trenches. So the soldiers improvised by piecing together sawed-off bayonet blades and chunks of hardened fence steel to create a nasty close-quarters knife.
It was crude, but it was a beast. And it worked. And the troops grew to love it.
Over time this trench knife was perfected and became so devastatingly effective in combat that the U.S. military recognized its genius and came up with their own version — the classic 1918 Mark I Trench Knife.
This Mark I had a large stiletto-style blade... a devastating skull crusher built into the pommel... a black oxide finish for covert operations... a huge handle... and a protective hand guard armed with vicious spikes.
And that is where we started — keeping all the original badass Mark I features while adding a few modern improvements.
And finally, the miracle has happened: A batch of 500 Shadows just arrived into my warehouse. And today...
But the clock is ticking. So if you're ready to get yours now...
...simply hit the "Yes" button right away.
If you'd like to know more, then let's take a closer look at your knife:
First of all, the overall length of the Shadow is 12-½ inches — almost the exact same size as the original Mark I Trench Knife.
The exposed blade length is 6-¾ inches of high-quality 7Cr17MoV cutlery grade stainless steel with a modified spear point profile. This makes the Shadow...
It's also a full-tang knife. Meaning the steel runs all the way through the handle — jutting out the butt end to create one hell of a nasty skull crusher.
It's almost frightening how powerful the skull crusher is in close-quarters combat.
Very vicious. Brutally effective.
We also wanted to preserve the covert nature of the original Mark I by coating the Shadow Blade with a Black Oxide "Magnetite". Not only protects the blade, but the non-glare matte finish means a reflection will never accidentally reveal your position.
The handle is extra large too...
...perfect for big fat hands like mine, even if I'm wearing combat gloves. It's made by injecting glass-reinforced nylon directly around the steel tang — a modern materials-and-manufacturing process that was not available in 1918.
Means this handle will never come apart or loosen. It's waterproof, shockproof, resistant to sunlight, chemicals, even fire. Which is why this knife will be still around for your great-grandkids!
Then there's that awesome studded bowguard. I'm betting you've never seen this on another knife before.
Not only protects your hands and knuckles during vigorous cutting and slashing...
...but the studs create an exceptionally brutal striking surface while making it damn near impossible for anyone to grab the knife away from you. This bowguard is tough too.
Can really dish out a beating without buckling or breaking.
Okay, but...
And this is another feature we improved upon. Because the original Mark I had an iron sheath — which was strong but very heavy. It also didn't fit the blade very well.
But today we have the advantage of some very durable modern lightweight materials that can be molded to extremely high tolerances. Again, they didn't have that in 1918, but today we do.
And so we created a shockingly tough glass-reinforced hard nylon sheath engineered to precisely fit your Shadow Blade.
Just listen for the "click", and the Shadow is secure. It won't come loose whether you're running, jumping, climbing, rappelling cliffs, wrestling a grizzly, whatever.
And since we designed the sheath for an abbreviated draw, you don't have to pull the entire length of the blade to release the Shadow from the sheath. There's an open slot engineered in the front. So with just a slight tug and a forward tilt — the Shadow is instantly out and ready for action.
The exact fit and the unique abbreviated draw design means the Shadow can deploy...
That's a big deal. Especially in combat.
There's even a reversible belt clip.
Means you can adjust the sheath for a right or left-handed draw. Your choice. Always nice to have options.
I gotta say, I'm rather proud to call the Shadow Blade our own creation.
I've personally got one of these sitting on my desk. I leave it there just to see people's eyes bug out of their head. Every single one of my buddies who has held this knife swears he felt a shiver of delight run down his spine.
The Shadow is that awesome. It's that powerful.
Just hit "Yes" button.
Do that right away. The regular retail price of this beauty is $69. That's a rock-bottom price for a knife of this quality. It's what we'll sell it for next month — right after this test market promotion.
But like I said, as a chosen hotlist member...
The only thing I DO ask is that you at least cover the shipping and handling to get this to your front door...
...just $14.95.
That small fee is just a way of separating the guys who are interested in this from those who aren't. I figure anyone not willing to at least cover the shipping and handling to get a $69 knife probably isn't that interested in the first place.
That's right. Get this Shadow into your hands. If you don't instantly feel a surge of testosterone hit your veins, and if your buddies aren't floored by this astonishing blade, and perhaps even a little jealous...
...in fact if you're not happy for ANY reason, even NO reason, then I insist you contact my office at orders@trs-orders.com and demand a full and prompt refund of all your money, but...
So you see, this really is free.
TRS and FightFast have been around for over three and a half decades. The only way that's possible is by treating customers exactly the way we would want to be treated.
Our word — and our guarantee — are gold. We've proven that for a long time. You can take it to the bank.
So hit the "Yes" button now.
As a hotlist guy, you're getting an astonishing remake of an American classic — worth $69 — for just shipping and handling. Even that's protected by a 100% guarantee.
And you can KEEP the Shadow Blade — even if you choose to get all your money refunded.
Like crazy generous.
And all I ask is for a little feedback. I'll send you an email in a couple weeks asking for your opinion about this product.
You don't have to answer if you don't want to. It's your choice. No matter what, we'll still be friends. You'll still be on the "hotlist".
But I'd sure appreciate any input you're willing to give me. Thanks for helping me out.
This is Jimbo, on behalf of everyone over here at TRS and FightFast, signing off.
Before I go, just a quick reminder that there are only 500 free Shadows to go around. If you're interested you'd better grab one now.
Waiting around — even for a day — will almost certainly mean hitting the dreaded "SOLD OUT" page.
If that happens, just keep an eye open next month. That's when the Shadow will be available on my main website for just $69.
But I'm not sure why you'd wait and pay $69 when you can get it right here, right now — for free.
So hit the "Yes" button now. I'll see you inside.
